I recently got pricing on a similarly equipped 4600 w/o the adjustable links for $23,000.

Your choice is the same choice I'm currently making and I think I'll get the NH too. The best JD4600 price was $3,000 more, and the best Kubota L4310 price was $2,500 more. I just can't justify the extra $$$ and I love my current JD955 but need something a little bigger. Best price I've gotten on the TC40D w/ R4's and HD loader bucket is right at $20,000 in coastal SC.

Funny, I did the same thing with my JD955 the 1st week I had it (as well as dent the oil pan.) I was able to straighten the steering link but ended up replacing the pan.
Somehow, I haven't had similar problems since and I can't say I'm any more cautious.
I think it happened because the tractor was new; you have to get that first dent somehow!

I'm in coastal SC and have been quoted 20,200 and 20,500 from 2 different dealers for the TC40D w/ R4's and HD FEL. The 20,200 is from an out-of-state dealer (approx. 100 miles) that will delivery for free (and also save me $300 in sales tax.) I'll probably add the grill guard.
I plan to purchase within the next 30 days as soon as I sell my JD 955 which is a great tractor but I need a little more oomph.
I looked a a JD 4600 which has slighly more HP but is $3000 more (after much haggling)! I'd like to own another green tractor but can't justify the $$$. The NH will do everything I need to do.

I'm looking for a source for JD parts at discount. I need to rebuild a JD Model 261 Rear finishing mower. I almost fell over when I received pricing from my local dealer/ $180 for (1) spindle assembly.<br>
